Ashes to Ashes
Ashes to Ashes was made in 2016 in CMPUT 250 at the University of Alberta, under the instruction of Michael Bowling. It was developed using Microsoft's Project Spark creation tool, and won Game of the Year and Excellence in Technical Achievement at GDX Edmonton's CMPUT 250 showcase.
In this 30-45 minute first-person adventure, the player forges a relationship with a lost phoenix on a quest to reach the top of a treacherous mountain.
I served as Lead Artist/Designer for the game. My main priority was art direction and consistency in tone and design throughout the project. I also did level design for the majority of the game, as well as created the game's trailer.
Ashes to Ashes was also created by Grant Winfield, Jacky Chung, Brandon Williams, Eddy Tang, and Braden Price.
